Barry Brownstone is in his tenth year as a Sears franchise owner, with Garage Door territories in Northern Cook, Dupage, Lake County, and McHenry County in northern Illinois. His success within the company began towards the end of 2008 when he answered an advertisement displaying the entrepreneurial perks of becoming a Sears franchise owner after losing his job of 20 years.

Barry credits his success to his work ethic; working seven days a week, answering phone calls at any hour, and advertising on digital platforms have proved to be lucrative. Family has always been important to Barry--so it’s no surprise that his son works full-time for the company as well!
